I bought a new house that needed some updating. As it does, everything started to take longer and cost more that we had planned for. Before I knew it, I was 2 weeks from my move-in date and hadn't purchased my carpet for the downstairs great room! I remembered seeing that Paulson's would do free estimates so I rushed over there and Porter Bishop was so quick to help me! He walked me through the different options based on my price point and use for the space and then, even though he already had a estimate scheduled for later that day, he squeezed in coming out to my house to get me an estimate that same day!! We were able to order my carpet and get the install scheduled 3 days before my move date! The carpet looks and feels great and I am so happy with the results! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Paulson's and Porter at the SE Grand location. He was phenomenal and is truly an asset to the team!

Rebuilt our kitchen, pantry and bathroom with new flooring and tiling. They were so fun and accommodating to work with finding the right flooring and tiles. Jerry was encouraging and very helpful making sure we had the right grout and caulk that would work and look the best with the tile locations. It all came out so lovely and I highly recommend them!

We had an excellent experience when Clint and team helped us to re-carpet two rooms. On my initial visit, Clint explained some carpet basics. We were able to make an informed choice on our second visit. Clint measured the space and we found the price was less than we expected. The installation team was on time and efficient. They cleaned up the area really well and the new carpet looks fantastic. Strongly recommend Paulson's.

We replaced all the carpets in our home and Dave Shelton was wonderful to work with on all aspects of the project. I was concerned about the job because I knew very little about choosing carpet. I know more now because Dave gave me a short course on carpets, explaining the strengths and weaknesses of the various materials and designs. He did an excellent job measuring the spaces and determining how much carpet we needed to buy. Paulson's worked with us on the installation so that we did it in two phases, making the disruption much easier.

Had the best experience ever at Paulson's. Kayla was supper helpful and knowledgeable. She was extremely patient as we plagued her with hundreds of questions. She worked to get the price down in our price range. She was always available for questions and we never felt pushed. Although other quotes came in slightly less, we felt more comfortable going with her knowing she was in control of our flooring. Would not recommend anyone else.

"We read the reviews, did our homework and decided to use Paulson's Flooring. This location has the friendliest sales people and our salesman Jerry has been working very closely with us during our remodel. Clint and Pat were also a great source of second opinions to help guide us. The wood installer team led by Alex was amazing. During installation our first wood choice had manufacturing issues and Alex pointed this out before opening any more boxes. We called Jerry and he immediately came to the house and we all agreed the wood should be replaced. The entire Paulson's team came together to source new flooring and install it with minimal delay. The wood floor is fantastic, and we could not be happier. Thank you Jerry!"

"I was new to the area, and have had several home renovation projects in the past year. I found Ron at the Vancouver location to be super friendly, knowledgeable and responsive. Responses to my emails were very timely, and orders were turned around very quickly. After ordering carpeting, I returned later to order all the tile for 2 bathroom renovations. Overall it was a great experience, and I recommend Paulson's for any of your floor covering needs. I met a few other team members in the process and they were also very helpful, but Ron became my go to guy. "

My experience with Paulson's in Beaverton has been very positive. I ordered floor covering over a year ago and was very pleased with the service and with the product. I recently placed an order for tile and received the same quality customer care. Store Manager Clint Spencer went out of his way to ensure my tile was delivered early in the week so that my contractor could pick it up as soon as possible. His associate Jodi made sure I knew when my tile would be available for pickup. I really appreciate them both very much for the extra effort and stellar service!.

We are new to the area and our realtor suggested we stop by Paulson's to find our new hardwood floor. The minute we walked in, we were greeted by Porter and he was incredibly helpful in guiding us through the many choices. He was able to answer all of our questions, which really gave us confidence to move forward. He was attentive throughout the whole process which I really appreciated for such a big job. Porter provided exceptional service and the other staff in the store were all attentive and helpful. Gavin kept us informed of the schedule. Yuriy's installation team, including Michael were professional and did a high quality job. We did a 2,500 sq. ft. install and it was done in 4 days. That included removing and disposing of carpet and old flooring. I highly recommend Paulson's Flooring and I will shop there in the future.

Right across the street from Home Depot - but much better for flooring... A better selection of flooring choices, helpful/available salespeople (without hovering), decent pricing (from rental/construction-grade to high-end), and an easy check-out policy for a huge variety of samples. Pat R. was the one who helped me - and he was great! He quickly steered me to the level of quality I was looking for, made it easy to check out the books with samples in them, and made sure I got the vinyl sent down from Washington quickly. (We were unable to use Paulson's install team because we were in a hurry to lay down new vinyl in 3 bathrooms prior to putting house on the market - but Pat made sure that the product made it to Portland quickly.) He also made sure I had the correct/special adhesive, etc (since his guys were not the ones who would be doing the install). Good experience - I would use them, again, for our new home.

Tigard store. Great experience working with Shellee and Sheryl to install laminate and carpet in my daughter's place. Both Shellee and Sheryl are smart, highly qualified and super easy to work with. Had some unforeseen glitches (not related to their work but HOA and subfloor) but they quickly got us through all of them. Laminate installer Jacob is an artist. Carpet installer Lance and his helper Luis are superb. This operation is first class and the results are great. Thank you all!

My family and I just, just wanted to shout out Porter Bishop for his amazing work and help. He came to my home many times to make sure everything was scaled and played out perfect. He Helped pick the right water proof carpet, being that we have animals, measured and worked around my hectic schedule. He also later came to my home, as I decided to add another room, without hesitation. He assured we wouldn't have to get carpet for a very long time, and eased my worry. Paulsons installed carpet for us back in February . They carefully walked us through all the options and the process, and stuck by their schedule , which was very appreciated. Our salesman Jerry, has been in the flooring business for along time and really understood every aspect from a hands on viewpoint. He took some of his personal time to make sure our job was being properly shepherding along. The installers did a great job, even when faced with a very difficult surprise they had to over come. The price is definitely more than most places but I'm not complaining.

Ours was a carpet replacement in a bedroom and stairs. From the timeliness of Pat R.’s visit at our home and the reasonable quote, to the installers, who did a great job, this was a very successful project. While I thanked the installers for their good work, perhaps Paulson’s office will have an opportunity to mention our thanks to them again. They were very friendly and easy to work with, did a very high-quality installation (in our opinion), and kept the job site spotless. I would like to shout out one of your sales associates, Porter Bishop! He responded promptly to my request, and even recommended stain proof carpet since I have animals! Not only did I ask him to come by multiple times, and everytime he came right away, but I was indecisive, as I have many opinions in my house...he never once complained and even aided in my decision. THEN I requested an additional room be added, be again promptly came back over...sized the room and the carpet ordered. Paulson's did a great job on installing carpet in a house we just bought. We wanted the carpet installed in a tight timeline before we moved in and they were very accommodating. Met with Pat in store and within a couple weeks our carpets were in. Everything is straightforward and lot of selection in stock. Much better service than big box stores and competitive pricing. Installation was done with good quality and neatly.

This is THE place to get your floor covering or counters. Don't make the mistake of shopping around for the cheapest prices. We made that mistake at first and it cost us dearly. We came back to Paulson's where the service is excellent, the prices are reasonable and they absolutely stand behind their work. Troy will give you excellent advice and can help balance quality products and workmanship with fair pricing. We have another project next year and Paulson's is where we'll go.

I had a terrific experience working with Jerry at Paulson Floor Coverings during the months of April and May 2019. I had a full remodel project at my condo and Jerry provided tremendous service that was not only helpful to someone unfamiliar with all of the intricacies of construction but also contributed to an overall pleasant experience. Jerry communicated regularly with me throughout the process and provided great feedback on the various materials that Paulson sells in its store. A special shout out to Jerry for the excellent tip on which grout to match with the tile :) It looks amazing! Will definitely come back to Paulson for my next remodel project, especially with the excellent customer service that their employees provide!

Frankly, we initially picked Paulson's because a friend worked there. We knew he'd take good care of us. He did, but then promptly retired before our job was even done! However, Paulson's followed through, and did a terrific job on installing our den and family room carpet! The installer noticed a small, barely detectable defect in the carpeting, but by then the floors were done, so he reported it to the main office, who notified us of the problem. We were given the option of a complete tear-out and re-do at no charge, or a credit amount to keep it. The problem is extremely minor. It does not affect the performance of the carpet, or the looks in any way. We needed carpet for our living room as well, so, we elected to take the credit. As a result, we now have BEAUTIFUL new carpet in our living room/dining room as well! We had to pay a small bit more, but our credit covered over 85% of the entire cost. We could not be happier with Paulson's products, or their customer service. They are responsive, easy to deal with, and their salespeople know their products. I'll take them over a big box store any day of the week.

Troy at Vancouver Paulsen's was our contact. Our experience with Paulsen's was absolutely excellent. We choose Karastan carpet and quartz counter tops. Every step of this process was so professional from measuring our spaces to choosing from samples for our products. Everything was done on time by experienced professional installers. SERVICE was wonderful here, all thanks to Porter. Stopped by to check pricing and discovered floor prices are tagged 'as installed prices' with padding, so that was super helpful in gauging budget and we didn't have any waiting around for someone to free up like the big box stores to help you. Colors, style, material, and pricing can quickly become overwhelming and make decisions seemingly impossible. Porter casually checks in and directs you to look at durability, pets in house, wear patterns, color and price to help you zone in on a few choices that work. Within an hour we had picked the colors that fit the budget and walked away with a sample piece for the room as well as an appointment with him to measure up. Why the need for a custom measure--just pick the color right? Well, variables include: pattern repeat, cuts and leftover pieces to add to other parts of the room/s, so there is some visual and math duty here. Yeah, best left to the pros and Porter will be there to figure all that out. It took 2 weeks from measure to install and that includes the time to order the carpet as it's not stocked in house. Crew of 3 installers took 3.5 hrs to install the master bedroom 20x16, vacuum and remove all the old. Love the feel and color, and wondered why we waited 7 years to rid ourselves of the carpet we disliked on move in, thank you Porter and Paulson's :)

Pat was so incredibly helpful when I went into the store to try to get an idea for what I wanted to do for my bathroom floor replacement. Not only did he actually listen to me he didn't try to upsell me to something different. He took me right to the flooring I was talking about and provided me wonderful feedback for my specific job. He then helped me check out samples to bring home to review with my husband all the while being incredibly personable. He made a point to actually get to know me and what I was getting flooring for. Needless to say I came back and bought flooring here and plan to come back for my next project. Great price but above all else amazing salesperson!

This showroom is really pretty. Clean & organized. I looked at some other flooring stores and there was junk on the floor and ladders and ****. At this place I was greeted by Jerry, a professional. He was knowledgeable and super helpful. I selected some carpet and Jerry came to my place and gave me a free estimate. I decided to get it and have Paulson's install too. I'm super happy with what I picked. It took awhile to decide what I wanted and Jerry was super patient. Oh yeah they have a good selection of tile too. Now I'm considering more than just a nice carpet to spruce up my place. They have samples to check out, nice big ones. See for yourself.

Through an unexpected event, I was suddenly involved in new flooring. Sheryl Rutherford introduced me to Dave Shelton at Paulson’s Tigard store who guided me through the maze of flooring options, considered other colors in the rooms and offered selections that would fit my budget and room usage. After I observed a narrowed selection on site, Dave assembled a contract, then Sheryl selected an installer and coordinated schedules that complimented mine, Ciaran, the installer’s and inclement weather. Ciaran went so far to bring the materials onsite on his weekend so the flooring would be acclimated to home environment to be installed next week in case of predicted inclement weather. The following Monday and Tuesday, Ciaran and his crew worked diligently and skillfully for a completed and clean project exactly as he said it would be. I couldn’t be more pleased with the guidance and efforts Dave Shelton, Sheryl Rutherford and Ciaran orchestrated to give me the solid floor I will always be proud of. As a follow-up, Sheryl, Ciaran and Dave came to my rescue once again guiding me for size, selection and preparation for area rugs to compliment and preserve the new hard flooring.

Excellent work!!! Excellent product. Excellent team of installers ordered in by our great contact person, Porter. Installers worked non-stop from 8:00 a.m. until 3:15! They removed and installed carpet/pad for five bedrooms, two hallways and two stairwells AND cleaned up so nicely (!!) all in that time frame. Amazing. Very happy with the job. Now we can sell our home timely. Would recommend Paulsons and will use again in our new home as well. We are delighted with a big job well done.

Could not have asked for a better experience! Paulson's was not my first stop, but they were the last. Ron was very helpful and knowledgeable. He helped me find the exact color I was looking for. It was easy to arrange the install, and they even called a couple days before as a reminder. The install crew showed up on time and were very friendly. I just had one room done and I don't think they were even here 90 minutes. They worked very efficiently to tear up the old carpet and padding, sweep, then lay the new pad and carpet. Overall the process was very smooth, and under a month from time of ordering carpet to install.

I want to extend my highest recommendation to Paulson's and Pat Rivera. I had what I'm sure would be considered a small project for a business like this. I felt welcome, important and appreciated. Not only that but the work completed is done right. So many times people will not extend you the courtesy of a straight answer and a simple process. I experienced no trouble on those lines rather Pat took the time to explain everything up front. Some of that detail seemed overkill at the start but the information helped make for a smooth job in the end. Well thought out, well implemented, well done. I see complaints about no line by line on the free estimate. The bottom line is how much will it cost complete? Paulson's wasn't the cheapest but they offered some things I couldn't get elsewhere. I am happy.

We recently had our carpets replaced. We looked around quite a bit and thought we had found what we wanted. Then... we stopped by Paulson's in Vancouver. Troy was extremely helpful. Once we found the carpet that we liked... he told us that if we could wait a few weeks, it would be on sale. He didn't have to do that. We appreciate all that Troy helped us with, including saving us money. The installers were incredible. Great 2-man team, working independently, but together, as we also had them remove and dispose of our old carpet & pad. The installation was GREAT. The 2 guys QC's each other. VERY impressed. If I could give the Troy and the crew 6 stars, I would.

Paulson's was the single best contractor I've ever had! They were extremely helpful and made it very easy for me to get the countertops of my dreams. And it was all thanks to JohnPaul Morton. My last contractor was crazy expensive and impossible to work with, he made everything difficult and didn't even to that good of a job. JohnPaul, on the other hand, got the job done fast, and it still turned out perfect. Paulson's Fine Floor Coverings and Interiors isn't too expensive, they get the job done fast, they give you an amazing turnout, and I would recommend them to everyone.

I recently purchased wood flooring for my home. From beginning to installation, Troy Wright at Paulson's made the experience seamless. At the onset, Troy wasn't a high pressure salesman and offered expert advice on his products. I was able to take as many samples as I needed home without a deposit. I had gotten several quotes from area flooring stores. Paulson's beat all of the other quotes by several thousand dollars. After weeks of looking at flooring at Home Depot and Lowes and not finding anything we liked, we finally decided to try out Paulsons in Tigard. We thought that we wouldn't be able to afford anything at a specialty store, otherwise we would have gone sooner. We found flooring we loved upon the first visit. We worked with Carol Merrifield and expressed concerns about cost. She immediately shot a note to the owner asking if he would grant us a lower price. Carol was incredibly friendly, not pushy, and was ready to answer all our questions. We ended up at Paulsons at least four times over the course of a month and our 4 & 6 year old practically cheered every time we told them we had to run by Paulsons - they hate all errands, but they love the atmosphere at layout of Paulsons Tigard. We will definitely be back and will be recommending Carol to our friends!

We are thrilled with the Karastan carpet we had installed earlier in the year. Jerry helped us with all the details. I was worried about the moving of our bedroom furniture and Jerry put us at ease. The entire process from start to finish went smoothly. We wanted to replace 10-year old wall to wall carpeting in our basement. The old carpet originally was a light cream color and did not hold up to traffic patterns and spills. We also wanted to update to a modern and durable berber. Several neighbors and friends around the country warned us away from the big box and 1-800 TV carpet chains. Paulson's has many great reviews so we selected them. Paulson's has lived up to our expectations completely. Mason measured the space and gave us a time frame and price for the project. There were many forms to sign and then after we paid the deposit we were on the schedule. The installation looks great and we are so happy with the results. The installation crew was quick and efficient and took the time to point out other changes to baseboard molding we could make if we wanted it be a more finished beautiful space. The completely vacuumed the space before packing up, finished! So happy and will go back when we need carpet for the next home!

We recently installed new carpet and flooring purchased through Paulson's. We chose Paulson's for a couple of reasons - ease of shopping experience, abundance of samples to bring home and most importantly, our experience working with Shellee Jole. From start to finish, Shellee was helpful, informative, a great listener, responsive to our needs and was even the one to come into our home to take measurements and make helpful on-site recommendations. We shopped several retailers in addition to Paulson's, and although we were satisfied with our experience at these other stores, we found ourselves repeatedly drawn back to Paulson's because of working with Shellee. Although Paulson's was not the cheapest estimate for our job, we chose them because of the quality of products they were offering and the level of service we received. Paulson's also provided five star installation service. The work was excellent and the contractors who did the installations for the company were highly skilled, courteous and efficient. They worked hard, took no shortcuts and cleaned as they worked. We couldn't be happier with the end results. Once again it proves that price is not always the most important part of the equation.

WOW. Paulson's went so far above and beyond what they needed to do with me, I would recommend them to any and everyone. I had the very unfortunate experience of dealing with an extremely dishonest contractor, who without their (or my) knowledge, used Paulson's to obtain countertops that was not what I requested-- instead, he substituted a cheaper/inferior material. This issue was not Paulson's fault, nor were they aware of what my contractor was doing. JohnPaul Morton was there for me during a multi-month zillion email/phone call drama involving my old contractor, the countertop supplier, and Paulson's. At every step of this extremely stressful process, JohnPaul assured me that he was going to make sure everything came out right in the end- and he did. He was always prompt to respond to emails and phone calls as well. You can get countertops or flooring anywhere. It's the personal service that Paulson's provided when there were problems that is priceless. Paulson's even offered to pay for to fix many of the issues that they were in no way responsible for. That kind of service is rare these days, and very very much appreciated. I'd use them again in a heartbeat.

For us, Paulson's means quality flooring. Pat Rivera, our sales person was there for us 2 years ago when our new home needed a floor remodel. Pat R. walked us through all the wood flooring options; quality, price, and look and feel. He informed us but did not try to "sell" us. Pat Rivera then guided us to the hardwood we have now. The install was first class and our floor is now gorgeous. Shortly after that we needed new flooring in our two bathrooms. Pat R. again showed us every available option from tile to vinyl. We picked two different tile patterns and they look great. We are so happy with them. After two great experiences with Pat Rivera, we decided we should return to Paulson's a third time, to purchase carpet. Again Pat Rivera showed us so many options and ordered over 15 different carpet samples for us to take home and keep. We took our time but Pat was never pushy or impatient. Porter and Paulson's Floors are the best! Having used Paulson's in the past I was pretty confident that they were going to do a great job, and they sure did deliver. During my appointment, my salesperson Porter was extremely professional and honest. I've bought flooring before, and I shopped at several places and found the people there very unhelpful. Porter didn't try to sell me on any particular style or even push me towards the higher end flooring. He walked me through the pros and cons of each sample and let me make the decision myself. I felt no oily sales pressure at all during the meeting! Even after a few small hiccups with my contractor, Porter was able to work with my contractor and adjust the flooring installation schedule to help accommodate us. Now the floors are in and I love them! If you're even thinking about getting new countertops, wood floors or carpet, Paulson's is the way to go. You won't find better service, or better prices anywhere (or at least I couldn't)! The installation went so smoothly! My wife and I recently purchased a condominium and had new laminate flooring placed throughout the entire unit except for the bathrooms. The entire experience was outstanding. Our salesperson, Porter Bishop was personable, knowledgeable, and professional. The installation contractor made a massive mistake making it so that the home we'd bought with a handicapped accessible bathroom was no longer handicapped accessible.

Paulson's agreed since our contract was with them, it was on them to fix the installer's mistake, and to do it on their own dime. They did.

We are so impressed with Paulson's and how they handled this. We really enjoyed working with Porter and even though this has taken a while to get fixed, it was never because of them dragging their feet. Porter was fantastic, as was Gavin and Jean Paul.

At some point we will be taking out the tile in the few areas of the house we didn't have the vinyl put in and we will not hesitate to use Paulson's again. We cannot recommend them enough.

Having had great success with Paulson's in the past, we returned when it was time for a new bedroom carpet. As usual, Jerry was great answering questions. We have the master bedroom sink outside the bathroom and were thinking of having tile in that space but Jerry suggested just having some of the extra carpet bound and used as a replaceable rug which saved a lot of money and looks great! I recently had wood flooring replaced in one room in my condominium. The work was done by Paulson’s Floor Coverings of Portland.

I am pleased to report that the experience and the job were satisfactory in every way. There was a fine selection of flooring materials to choose from. The representative, Mason, was prompt in arriving at my home to measure the room to prepare a bid. Paulson’s was able to meet the requirements that our Home Owners Association have for an underlayment. The bid submitted was fair and reasonable. When the workers arrived to do the job they fully complied with the Associations requirements for scheduling, entry and waste and scrap material removal. They were courteous, competent and professional. And perhaps most importantly they did a neat and professional job. All told, Paulson’s has exceeded my expectations.

Our experience with Paulson's Floor coverings couldn't be better, from original project scope to completion. Our main point of contact was Dave Shelton, and working with him provided such a seamless and easy experience. My wife worked with him on carpet selection and guidance and I worked with him through the paperwork, contract, and just final details of the project. The installers came on time, were courteous and worked extremely quick but the work was just top notch. I came home from work and the carpet on our staircase and the 3 bedrooms couldn't have been more perfect. At the end of it all, they also vacuumed and cleaned up everything before they left, leaving the house as if they were never even there. At the end of it all, Dave followed up to check out how we enjoyed our new carpet and just closing on final details, showing us that customer experience is a top priority. His background as an installer makes him a great resource for information that may impact decisions on product and installation materials. Pat understands well the needs of the client, and is very flexible, breaking down our larger project into multiple orders to increase the ease with which we could make our decisions. Pat has been responsive and helpful in adjusting to changing schedules. During our project we faced a major delay due to one of the sinks being on a long term back order. Pat suggested contacting the countertop installer, Bella Pietra, to find out if they could provide a sink for us. Within three days, Bella Pietra helped us arrange the order of an alternate sink, arranged for its delivery to their shop, and were able to keep us on our original installation schedule. We just moved into a house east of Portland, and although we loved the place, the dark brown carpet felt dated to us, and likely to make the place feel pretty gloomy come fall and winter! We got a fast answer via YELP about whether or not Paulson's handled installation in our area (about an hour east of the city - yes), and our showroom visit was really positive. Porter helped answer our questions, and we were able to take home a number of samples, which really made making the final choice much easier. He came out and did the measurements in the house to be sure we had the quote we needed. We had actually hoped to give our business to a local company, but they were SLOW to provide info, and Paulson's #s were competitive - plus their great reviews swayed us, so we signed up. By mid-May we had chosen our color and were ready to go. We did have a small snag along the way: the first installers showed up and weren't aware that they'd also have to move furniture. When the quote was provided, our house was vacant, and there was some miscommunication about who was doing what. They had to head back, but Porter was helpful and took care of us, and we scheduled another installation, which just took place last week. The crew that arrived for that installation were great - showed up right on time (8am), got right to work, were polite, friendly and positive. They took photos of the rooms and the furniture to ensure they put things back where we had them. In less time than I'd have imagined, our old carpet was out and the new carpet was in. The new carpet feels great underfoot, and the light color we chose completely has transformed the look of the upstairs. It's bright and airy, and I know that even in the gloomiest days, we'll have some light coming from it. I don't know how it will wear, but I bet on a combo of good reviews across the web for the product, and for Porter's description of other customers who have had the product for a longer period. I plan to get new wood floors for our downstairs area next year, and Paulson's is where I'll be going. I'll post some before/after shots of a room to provide a sense for how color can change up the look.

Troy was very kind, patient and knowledgeable, explaining the different carpeting and answering our numerous questions. The installers were awesome, and even though we filled up an ice chest with cold water and soda, they didn't take a break and just pressed on until the job was done (This was on an over 90 degree day also). I still can't believe my floors are done! This has been a great experience. We had 11 year old, dirty carpeting on our stairs due to our pets, along with scratched and beat up bamboo flooring that needed to go. I met with Pat Rivera early one morning at the showroom. I told him that I wanted durable, waterproof, wood look flooring. There were so many to choose from, it was a bit overwhelming. He told me to choose any and all that I liked and that I could bring them home. This was so helpful, as I was able to lay them on my floor at home and get an idea of which one complimented the colors that were already going on in my home. After 3 days, we knew which one we really liked best, so I headed back to Paulsons and asked "how soon can we do this". Pat was able to come out and do measurements within a couple of days, and he had my work scheduled for 2 weeks later. The installers were great! We had Uri, Dan and John. They arrived on time at 8am and worked all the way through to 5pm for two days. They were friendly and professional. The completed work looks wonderful. We are so happy that we finally did this. Pat and everyone at Paulsons were easy to work with, answered my emails promptly and we're communicative every step of the way. I wish I could afford to do my upstairs floors now!!

This review is for the excellent service and informative carpet lesson from "Hawaiian Brian" at Paulsons on Science Drive in Beaverton. I have been in a house search for over a year and a half. In that time I have had to talk to many people in this arena; roofers, contractors, real estate agents, plumbers, etc. Of everyone, Hawaiian Brian is one of the few who stood out as a true professional and craftsman in his trade. He was utterly customer service oriented with ease and grace. He actually took the time to talk to me instead of just trying to sell me the product. More than that, I felt confident that if he was in my home doing a job, it would be done with pride and would be done to perfection. Sadly, at the end of my carpet /installer search, we walked into a serious plumbing problem. We are also discovering huge subflooring problems so we are staying with our contractor. The sad part is that Hawaiian Brian wont be installing our carpet! I really liked this person. His sense of humor is fabulous and I would have loved for him to be the one to doing this. I wish I had known about Paulson's before going through an incredibly disappointing experience with a "major home improvement store" . . . . I worked with Troy at their Mill Plain location and let me say, coming from someone with 25 years in the customer service industry, Troy exceeded all of my expectations! He took the time to inform and educate me on not just Paulson's long time presence in the community and industry, but also the quality and benefits of their counter products and installation services. My initial consultation ended in me paying 50% down for my new Travertine counters and approximately 10days later my counters were installed and the outcome was phenomenal! On my scheduled installation day, Sergei arrived prompt at 8:45am, and had the entire job done by 12pm. He was professional, friendly and was sure to impeccably clean his entire work space. I had an absolute pleasure of working with Hawaiian Brian. He helped from the very beginning to the very end; Showing all the tile options, sharing his advice and giving couple samples to take home. Brian was able to give me a great price, and when I told him I was short on time he was very understanding and placed the order immediately and follwed up with me on it's shipping status; the order has arrived in just couple days! Dave Shelton helped us pick out flooring that was a good fit for both our budget and design needs. We also got a quote from a big box store, which was similar to the one from Paulson's--the difference was, Dave provided much more information about the product, installation, and prep that needed to be done for the project than the big box store (and we would have likely run into several more costs/surprises if we had gone with the box store). There were no surprises along the way with Paulson's and everyone was thorough, professional, and great to work with. We will definitely be using Paulson's again in the future!

I worked with Shellee Jole at the Tigard Paulson's on Cascade Ave. Last year I needed carpet for a well used great room. It needed to withstand walk paths between the kitchen and outside patio, active grandchildren, visiting golden retriever, and food spills. She connected me with a wonderful low pile carpet that definitely met those needs, and I love it. This year I needed to replace bedroom carpeting, and Shellee quickly helped me pick a perfect choice that brightens the rooms, has low pile, and makes a great improvement. The best part is that I was able to get both during the sales. Installment worked well, and overall I had a wonderful experience with Paulson's.

From start to finish our experience was hands down the best! We had worked w that orange big home improvement store that advertises free install for one of our rentals. It was a complete nightmare. Dealt w Sergio for our project from start to finish in our main home. We are snowbirds so we needed our upgrades to be scheduled and completed quickly so we could head back down South to wrap up our stay before coming home. Sergio was very patient and very knowledgeable. He came out the next day and measured to get us rolling on what we had picked out. Our project was completed better than expected! I am so excited to come home each day to our beautiful floors, bathrooms and kitchen. Will return for our rentals for sure!

Stopped by and picked up a bunch of samples. Porter was very helpful and low key. The price was as expected and Porter did a good job getting carpet reserved and shipped on time. I had two rooms and needed the tear out to be done about a week before installation so I could do some painting and floor waterproofing.. They were very willing to make this work without added charges. I received reminder calls the day before they arrived. Thomas showed up right on schedule and did a beautiful install leaving the room spotless when he left. I highly recommend Paulsons.

These guys were great to work with. We scheduled an assessment and Mike came out to do measurements and take a look. He sent us a reasonable quote and we scheduled the work. Gavin was great about being in touch for the installation. The biggest issue was when the guys came out to do the installation, they saw water in the basement and had to stop work for us to get it take care of (a whole separate headache). I'm sure this caused some problems on their end because they were scheduled for the installation that day, but they were very understanding and accommodating. Ultimately, they came back out on the subsequent date (at no additional charge) and did a terrific job installing the new carpet. They worked quickly and the finished product is absolutely terrific.

We worked with Pat Rivera and had a great experience. We were on a tight timeframe to replace some gross carpet in an investment property and Pat was able to come out to measure and provide a quote the same day. He was also able to get the carpeting installed within a few days of our first visit to Paulson's. We had initially contacted another highly-rated flooring company in Portland but they weren't as responsive as Pat and couldn't get the carpet installed as quickly. I had a wonderful experience with Paulson's! I chose them because I assumed a business is not in business for 97 years without being a good organization. I needed to replace 19 yr. old linoleum in my kitchen, dining room, hallway and bathroom. Seemed like a daunting task! It had to be something that would blend with my carpet and oak entry which were not being replaced. I took pictures in to Ron Meyer at the Vancouver store and it went about as smooth as it possibly could have. He helped me pick out an appropriate floor tile and came and measured right away. Sent a bid the same day. Installers did great, carpet lifting and tucking went well. The timetables they gave me in advance were all on target. I have nothing but good things to say about Paulson's. I did not receive any incentive to write this review. It is based on my actual experience. Love my new floor!

After shopping for carpet at various locations, I ended up at Paulson's. This was the only place which gave me the help and time I needed to make a decision on carpeting our house. Jerry was the best!!! He helped me sort out all the options and explained the differences between all the products offered. As we were driving to homedepot we saw the the store and we decided to go in. Just one last chance! Pat our sales man was just amazing. Everyone in the store was great. Jerry did a good job coordinating the installation of our new glass backsplash. We went through Paulson’s in May 2017 to get our granite counters installed (as shown in the photos) and finally got around to having the backsplash installed. Installation was scheduled within a couple of days after the tile was in and it looks great! Color is called Light Shadow. My wife and I decided a few months ago that the bedroom carpeting in our Portland condominium had done its job and, like us, was ready for retirement. We had heard good things about Paulson's and so dropped by their Grand Avenue store to see what our options might be. Porter Bishop spoke with us, showed us around, and then left us to acquaint ourselves with replacement choices and to take our time making a decision. It didn't take that long, actually, and a few weeks later the installers arrived with our new carpets and had the work done in about 4 hours. These men obviously knew what they were doing and we were completely satisfied with them (we are thrilled with the new carpets). We did find one small spot that appeared to have come from a tool that had been used during the installation; I called immediately and the next day the owner of the installation was in our unit and had the problem resolved (dissolved) in about 10 minutes. Had some new vinyl flooring and carpeting installed. Part of the original plan had to be changed due to some home construction problems that could not have been seen by Pat when the estimate was made. As a result, we had to install carpet on the stairway that we had intended to cover with vinyl. It resulted in considerable refund. Just had old hardwood floors refinished and new vinyl installed. As in every older home, tearing out old layers of vinyl and the carpet let us in for several surprises. I've had a stellar experience working with Paulson's on three separate projects--kitchen, living room/dining/den, and stairs/upstairs bedrooms. I'd planned to go with a bigger store but loved the local ties and Portland history of Paulson's, and I'm elated that I did. The prices and selection were every bit as good as what I thought a larger store would give me--but by far the value added was working with Porter and the installers. Porter has been an outstanding advisor every step of the way. He has an amazing sense of style, introducing me to new ideas but always staying within my budget and comfort zone. Picking out new carpeting turned out to be extraordinarily more difficult than I had expected. Were it not for the assistance of Shellee - the saleswoman extraordinaire - I would have just given up. Shellee patiently let me take about a thousand (slight exaggeration) samples back and forth without a word of judgment. However, when in desperation I finally asked for help, she was wonderful in guiding me to a choice I am delighted with.
My positive Paulson experience did not end with the purchase of carpet. The professionalism of the installer, Ariel, was evident from the moment he walked in the door, took a look around expertly found places for the last big pieces of furniture in minutes. His quiet demeanor belied his competence with the result I had new carpeting in a few hours as opposed to most of the day. A few years after I bought my home, a wall of tile in my shower started coming loose. A quick check of my homeowner's manual showed the tiles had come from Paulson's (even though they didn't do the original installation), so I called to see if the tiles were still in stock so I could get the wall fixed. General Manager JohnPaul assured me they were and offered to come out and see what they problem was. A quick inspection showed the existing tile definitely needed to come down, so I asked John Paul to get back to me with an estimate for repairs (expecting to shell out hundreds if not thousands of dollars!) A few days later, he called back and said they'd decided to cover the cost of ALL labor and materials, because it was important to them that their customers be happy with their product. *Insert happy dance here!!! I was so surprised and delighted with this news, as I hadn't originally called to complain and certainly didn't expect any freebies. They had just decided to go waaaaaay above and beyond because that's the kind of company they are. Repairs happened in a day by a friendly, skilled team who did fabulous work, and John-Paul was a dream to work with. I'm so grateful for their incredible service and can't recommend them highly enough. They have customer for life!

While browsing in Paulson's for carpet information for a job site in FL I was fortunate to have the very knowledgeable gentleman, Guy Miller, spend time with me. My challenge was to explore the range of carpet which would be installed under a flat weave rug. The selection of possible choices Mr Miller was quickly able to focus on was impressive. Lisa from Paulsons was by far the nicest, most helpful person I worked with in trying to track down tile for my backsplash. I had to go through a manufacturer, who didn't deal with customers, to a wholesaler, who was rude to me, until I finally called and spoke to Lisa for help trying to place the tile order. She was kind, took time to understand the situation, and was incredibly responsive throughout the day. After a frustrating experience on a deadline, she made the process SO much better in the end. I had a great experience with Paulson's. I went in to look for carpet and was helped by Mike. He answered all of my questions, got me samples, and set up a time to come and measure. When he did, there were a few samples I wanted to see in bigger sizes, so he ordered those for me. Once they were in and I made my decision, the carpet was set to be installed 2 weeks later. The installation went great, despite the fact that my upstairs room is a low ceiling attic, with uneven narrow stairs. The installers took it all in stride, including dealing with the fact that I had smashed my finger early in the morning and needed to go to urgent care. They worked with my friend that came over in my absence, and it was almost done by the time I got home. It looks great, and I love it! Thank you, Paulson's!

"We have done business many years ago and had a good experience then. It was for hardwood floor in our kitchen/family room. Stopped by one afternoon and chatted with Shellee for carpeting two of our bedrooms. Got the full tour of carpets and decided on which one and color. The do move some of the larger furniture for a fee. Saved my back or hiring a moving company to do it. She came the next day to measure. She asked if we were going to place our furniture back in the same place, if so, she could save us some money by the way they could lay the carpet seams. Ordered the carpet and it came in about 2 weeks. Install was scheduled to fit our timeframe. The install crew was here at the scheduled time and got right to work. We had a small flood in our house and had laminate through the whole house which was over 12 years old. My wife stopped by Paulson's Floor Covering and talked to Troy and got a sample of flooring that would go with our decor. Paulson's is a fantastic company which is hard to find. The customer comes first with Paulson's. They stand behind their products and workmanship and their customer service is the best we have EVER encountered. I never write reviews or freely publicize a company. They were SO amazing and attentive I had to tell others about them. If I ever need tile again...I would choose them without even price shopping because their customer service is unmet.
We bought a new home and unfortunately the tile work in our master shower allowed water to leak for quite some time. We were displaced and frustrated. Paulson's saved the day and did quality, timely work. They took the time to understand what we wanted, made appropriate suggestions, and used expert workmanship to complete the project. They were responsive, professional and a pleasure to work with. Johnpaul and Lisa went above and beyond for the entirety of the project. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. We own a historic home in Uptown Vancouver with a beautiful oak stairway that leads to the second floor. The treads are a rich finished bare wood and sometimes can be slippery, so we decided to carpet them for added safety and beauty. I worked with Dave Shelton on purchasing my new carpet. He was very courteous and through. He kept me up to date on every aspect of this purchase. I had my entire upstairs including stairs done and I am very happy with the results. 2 men who actually did the install were a little hard to understand, but they did an excellent job, including moving the heavy furniture for me. They also installed the carpet much faster than I had expected. I am very happy with my carpet and service I was provided

This is actually the 2nd time I have purchased carpet from Paulson's. My good experience the first time led me to go straight back to Paulson's when I needed more carpeting. I really didn't shop anywhere else. I have been very happy with the service and product each time. A few great things happened this time that showcased Paulson's commitment to service. First off rather than not disclose a manufacturing error in the carpet, I sincerely appreciated that the installers noticed it during the install and then reported it back to office immediately. Much respect earned right there. Second, the office staff were very prompt in dealing with the warranty with Karastan and getting my carpet replaced. I can't tell you how happy I was to know they were dealing with it rather than it be my responsibility. They kept me informed as to the process and what was happening. Third, the installer that came out last worked with me to correct a builder's flaw in the flooring around my laundry room door to make sure the carpeting in this area looked just as great as everywhere else. I appreciated how he went a little beyond the call's requirement. So while maybe not everything was flawless, ultimately everything turned out perfectly. As usual I had a very positive experience with Paulson's.

Had to find flooring to match up with 10 yr. old Wilsonart flooring. Dave cut down my time by showing me only the products that could possible match.

Alex had the old carpet out so fast and everything was cleaned up before leaving. Even with bad weather, got the job done beautifully and efficiently.

Alicia and I are finally getting boxes unpacked and settling into our new home.
